It is important to have early estimations of the groundwater discharge from the project site. The site’s proximity to receiving waters or its location in areas where there may be perched, static, tidally influenced or hydraulically connected groundwater can have significant impacts on how the project is designed and which requirements may apply. Additional information on dewatering is described as part of the minimum requirements for Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention (Volume I, Chapter 4).
